Your agent answers in 29 languages.
English and Spanish are included on every plan. 27 more languages are available on Enterprise. One phone number, no menu prompts — the agent hears which language the caller is speaking and answers in it.

This is the complete list — not a sample. If a language is not on this page, the agent does not speak it, and we will tell you that before you sign rather than after.

27 languagesHow It Works
No menu prompt. No second phone number.
Language handling is part of the conversation, not a routing decision made before it. The caller simply talks, and the agent answers in kind.
01
The caller speaks first
The agent opens with your configured greeting, then listens. Nothing about the greeting forces a language choice — no keypad menu, no "para español" branch, no second phone number to publish.
02
The language is identified from the audio
The speech model identifies the language from the caller’s first words and the agent responds in that language — the same voice, the same persona, the same script logic.
03
Detection keeps running
Language identification does not stop after the opening turn. If the conversation switches languages partway through, the agent switches with it and finishes the call in whichever language the caller settled on.
What multilingual does not mean here.
It does not mean a translation layer bolted between the caller and the agent, and it does not mean a separate bot per language that has to be configured, tested, and kept in sync on its own. One agent, one configuration, one set of integrations — 29 languages. Booking, qualification, transfers, and the structured data written back to your systems all behave identically no matter which language the call was conducted in.
Common Questions
Language support questions.
How many languages do Workforce Wave AI voice agents speak?
Workforce Wave AI voice agents speak 29 languages. English and Spanish are included on every plan. The remaining 27 languages — including Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Ukrainian — are available on Enterprise plans.
Which languages are included on every plan?
English and Spanish are included on every Workforce Wave plan at no additional cost. A single phone number handles both: the agent identifies which language the caller is speaking and answers in that language, with no menu prompt and no separate number to publish.
Does the caller have to pick a language from a menu?
No. There is no "press 1 for English" step. The agent identifies the language from the caller’s first few words and responds in that language for the rest of the conversation. If the caller switches languages mid-conversation, the agent switches with them.
Is this real-time translation, or does the agent actually speak the language?
The agent speaks the language directly. There is no separate translation step inserted between the caller and the agent, which is what usually introduces the delay and the stilted phrasing people associate with translated support lines. Speech recognition, reasoning, and speech synthesis all run in the target language.
Can the agent handle a caller who switches languages mid-call?
Yes. Language detection runs continuously rather than only at the start of the call. A caller who opens in English and switches to Spanish partway through is followed automatically — a common pattern in bilingual households and in front-desk calls where one family member hands the phone to another.
Does the multilingual agent still book appointments and write to our systems?
Yes. Language support is a property of the conversation, not a separate product. The same agent that books appointments, qualifies leads, transfers to a human, and writes structured data into your CRM or scheduling system does all of that regardless of which supported language the call is conducted in.
How do we turn on the Enterprise languages?
The 27 Enterprise languages are enabled per agent as part of an Enterprise plan. Tell us which languages your callers actually use and we configure the agent, its greeting, and its escalation paths for those languages during onboarding.
Which Chinese does the agent speak?
Mandarin. It appears in the list above simply as Chinese, under the ISO code CMN. Only the languages named on this page are supported — we would rather say that plainly than let a caller discover a gap on a live call.
Stop losing the callers you cannot answer.
English and Spanish on day one, 27 more languages when you need them. Tell us which languages your callers actually use and we will configure the agent around them.
