Preview Dialer
An outbound dialing system that displays a prospect profile and history to an agent before the call is placed.
Preview dialer is an outbound calling system that gives agents a chance to review prospect information — previous interaction history, call notes, recent activities — before manually initiating the call. This allows for more personalized, informed conversations at the cost of slightly lower throughput.
Preview Dialer Workflow
- System displays next prospect's profile, contact history, and CRM notes to the agent.
- Agent reviews the information and decides whether to call now, call later, or skip.
- Agent manually clicks "Call" to initiate the outbound dial.
- Call connects and agent speaks with prospect.
Advantages
- Personalization: Agents know the prospect's background before speaking, enabling better rapport and context.
- Higher quality conversations: Agents can reference previous interactions and tailor their pitch.
- Lower TCPA risk: Manual dialing means no abandoned calls or inadvertent DNC violations.
- Agent autonomy: Agents can prioritize their call list and manage their pace.
Disadvantages
- Lower throughput: agents spend time reviewing profiles and manually dialing; typical: 30-60 calls/hour.
- Higher per-contact cost than power or predictive dialers.
Use Cases
- Complex B2B sales where relationship-building matters.
- Collections or sensitive outreach requiring care and context.
- High-value prospects where personalization justifies lower volume.
